An arduous, sometimes magnificent valley and forest hike The hiking trail through the Riachuelo valley to Cumbrecita is beautiful, albeit somewhat arduous. It always runs along the foot of the Cumbre Nueva cliffs, passes several water galleries (Galerías) and also overcomes a few rock barriers. A tip: It is more comfortable to take a cab from the Ermita Virgen del Pino or the visitor center to the Cumbrecita (8-10 €) and hike back to the starting point.
Starting point: Ermita de la Virgen del Pino, 900 m (S. 153; no bus connection).End point: parking lot at the Cumbrecita, 1312 m (S. 201; no bus connection).
