Volcano hike through the Malpaís Grande Between Pozo Negro and the rural town of Tuineje, an inhospitable lava field spreads out, with the Caldera de los Arrabales jutting out from its center, visible from afar. The 3,250-hectare area has been designated a nature reserve and is also a bird sanctuary that can only be crossed outside the breeding season.
Starting point: Bus shelter on the FV-2 at km 33.7 just under 1 km north of the traffic circle in Teguital, 97 m. The starting point is on bus route 10 (Puerto del Rosario - Morro Jable). Drivers can park on the hard shoulder.Requirements: Climb up to the edge of the caldera on an initially easy path.
