The rock wall above the Noce seems so forbidding and compact, but this narrow crevice, a few hundred meters high and dark even in the midday sun, is absolutely incredible: there is no way through, impossible! But it has existed for almost a hundred years, and this tour, the Sentiero Burrone-Giovanelli, has lost none of its fascination since then. What a contrast between the friendly, sunny valley and the dark, fantastic gorge! Seemingly sky-high walls to the left and right, only a narrow strip of blue sky in between, scree and rushing water.
