Fun border curiosities and dignified Rhine riverside pathsExclave or enclave? Excluded from Germany or from Switzerland? In Büsingen, many things are confusing and special: in any case, the German village is surrounded by Schaffhausen and closely connected to it through the interchange of history: a Swiss telephone booth next to a German intercom, two zip codes for the same post office ... many unique features characterize this state island. A specially signposted "Exklavenweg" trail allows you to explore and experience the special features along 11 posts with information signs. In addition, a beautiful section of the banks of the High Rhine is also walked, partly designed as an excellent park ("Lindli") on the outward route from Schaffhausen, partly left in its natural state with opportunities to experience the water directly ("Rheinhölzle"). A varied tour! And if you suddenly come across a camel or a donkey, you"re not in the wrong movie, but ... in Büsingen!
