A perfect mountain experience with the Finsterkofel as a challengeAnras, 1261 m, in the central Pustertal valley is of Rhaetian origin. The most important historical buildings include the Pfleghaus, which has been inhabited for over 200 years and houses special exhibitions and a community library. The frescoed parish church of St. Stephen is well worth a visit. To the south of the Gumriaul, the broad high pastures guard the Anraser See lake and to the west the Ascher-Grünen-Lettensee lake and small ponds.
Starting point: Valley village / starting point: Anras, 1261 m, on the Pustertaler Höhenstraße, bus connection. Access from Abfaltersbach on the main road, 21 km southwest of Lienz.Kobreil, 1510 m. Access from the parish church (Widum) in Anras on the paved mountain road on the right, leading northeast uphill.
