The tour descriptions provide you with all the important information regarding requirements, starting point, route, altitude profile and rest stops along the way. So you are sure to find the right tours for your needs.
Can't find a suitable trip in your region? In the PRO version you can import tracks from other outdoor portals (GPX file format) into the RealityMaps app with just one click. Immediately explore the new route in the real 3D landscape.
Or you can have your friends send you a track directly to your smartphone. Then you can be sure that the fun factor is perfect!
Be better prepared
On your way the real landscape appears in 3D on your smartphone. Your location is shown live on the map. You can navigate freely in the map and all important information is displayed onscreen.
You can switch between 3D aerial map and a topographical map with detailed relief shading on a scale of 1: 25,000. So you can find the optimal representation for every situation.
A unique virtual 360 ° panorama allows you to recognize nearby mountain peaks. The 3D map orients itself with the compass the way you align your smartphone.

The virtual panorama function in the app offers a perfect augmented reality experience. The app uses the copmass to orient the 3D map the way you align your smartphone. All relevant information is displayed directly in the real landscape.

You can record your trips with the built-in GPS and save the tracks on your device. On the way, the current position and the distance covered are shown live. Duration, current altitude, distance covered, altitude difference and speed are continuously displayed.
With a user account you can save your tracks in your personal RealityMaps Cloud and transfer them to other devices . With a premium subscription you can easily share your tracks with friends who also use the RealityMaps app.
Import of tracks & routes
If you don't find a suitable tour you can import tracks in GPX format from other tour portals of many well-known holiday destinations.
Simply download a tour from the website to your smartphone and then import the GPX track into the RealitMaps app under "Load tour". This opens access to the entire variety of hiking, biking and mountain tours in the internet.
More security in difficult conditions
The app offers an unprecedented level of security. In the photo-realistic 3D aerial map you can easily recognize your current position and at the same time read the exposure and nature of the terrain. This is not possible with a topographic map. Professional mountaineers and mountain rescuers trust this new technology.
Many climbers are familiar with the situation: suddenly fog appears and you can no longer see anything in the "whiteout".
