Jost's expedition ended after just over two months with a partial success. Although conditions on the mountain prevented him from reaching the summit, he did reach the highest point on the west ridge at 7300 meters. Many of his followers eagerly followed his live tracking over the past few weeks. www.everest3d.deJost planned his route to the summit beforehand using our high-resolution 3D map, which shows all the essential details of the ascent, including the dangerous icefall on the way to Camp 1 at Lho la Pass. We congratulate Jost on his impressive achievement – perhaps he'll reach the summit next year!
